Coaching and Vision
Watford youth sports Club is committed to developing children’s skills, techniques and game understanding so they are able to progress and play in newly formed teams MINI’S at U7 and U8 level. In addition, our club also provides opportunities for Youth boys and girls aged 9-16 who could potentially filter into newly formed teams or our existing WYSFC teams.
Our Vision is to develop the children's football skills and knowledge of the game so they are able to progress and play in teams. We ALWAYS promote sportsmanship and fair play but most important of all we want your child to ENJOY the game of football.
Our coaching syllabus is age-specific, tailored to meet the needs of players and covers all aspects of the game by encouraging fair-play and sportsmanship. Each coaching sessions runs for 1 hour and includes a variety of practices and games delivered by F.A. Qualified Coaches who hold a valid Emergency Aid and Safeguarding Children certificate, along with a CRB. Throughout the Development Centre Season we organise friendly matches for the under 8 age group to give your child their first experience of playing football against other players.
